Job Title: Major Orthopaedic Scrub Practitioner 
Vacancy type: block booking, with ongoing vacancies available
Pay Rate: £38.70* per hour
Location: East Yorkshire, London, Surrey, Northampton

We are looking for an experienced Major Orthopaedic Scrub Practitioner to join our surgical team. This role involves providing expert support in orthopaedic procedures, ensuring a sterile environment, and assisting surgeons with a variety of surgical interventions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in orthopaedic surgery and a commitment to patient safety and care. 

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the sterile field during orthopaedic surgeries. 

• Assist surgeons by efficiently passing instruments, implants, and materials specific to orthopaedic procedures. 

• Monitor patient vitals and support the surgical team in maintaining a safe and efficient operating room. 

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the best patient outcomes. 

• Ensure the proper handling, cleaning, and storage of orthopaedic instruments and equipment. 

• Adhere to infection control protocols and safety regulations. 

Qualifications

• Relevant nursing or surgical qualifications (e.g., RN, ODP). 

• Significant experience in orthopaedic surgery settings. 

• Strong knowledge of orthopaedic instruments and surgical techniques. 

• Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills. 

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced surgical environment.
